CALL FOR PAPERS!

It is that time of year again! This is the official call for papers for the WAS Spring Meeting. The meeting is in Sheridan, Wyoming on April 28 to May 1, 2022. Student presenters can receive free WAS meeting registration and banquet tickets, but this only includes the student who orally presents the paper during the conference or the primary author on a student poster. Send your paper or poster abstracts to me (Marcia Peterson) at marcia.peterson@wyo.gov. We are accepting up to 15 papers for oral presentation and as of now, there is no limit to the number of poster slots available. I will update you all if the number of posters is limited as well.

Student presenters (oral presentations or primary poster authors) must submit a meeting registration form indicating that they are student presenters and whether they are staying for the banquet. If you do not specify that you are a student presenter and that you are staying for the banquet on the registration form, you will have to pay. The registration forms will be available on the WAS/WAPA website soon, and you send them to the address indicated on the website http://www.wyomingarchaeology.org/.
The first five students to submit oral presentation abstracts also receive travel awards from WAPA. I will notify the WAPA Executive Committee of those winners as soon as I receive five student paper abstracts.

If you have any questions please contact Marcia Peterson (marcia.peterson@wyo.gov), John Laughlin (john.laughlinwy@gmail.com), current WAS president, or Carolyn Buff (jcbuff@bresnan.net), current WAS executive treasurer. Thanks!

We have dates for the 2022 in-person meeting!
